Normal Cat.5 cable runs only reach 100 meters, but with a single POR-0102 installers can extend the PoE network much further.
Simple and durable, no software required
As a PoE Repeater, POR-0102 receives all power from the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), for example, a PoE switch. This means that POR-0102 uses no external power supply, making it the most flexible option for system integrators looking for an easy, affordable solution to increase the distance to the attached devices. POR-0102 has three RJ-45 ports for easy deployment, the “IN” port that accepts the power and data for the first 100 meters, and two “OUT” ports that boosts and extends the power and data an additional 100 meters to each connected device. With a compact, durable metal housing, the POR-0102 fits into a wide range of cable deployments.
Applications
POR-0102 works great for large IP surveillance networks with many cameras deployed throughout a building or campus. It is also an ideal solution for wireless access points or wireless mesh APs that are located far from the control center.
