Q:In New Zealand, what is the maximum allowable radio power output for 2.4Ghz WiFi devices when combined with high gain antennae.
A:4 Watts or roughly 36 dBm (38 dBi)

Example: A WiFi Access Point with 20 dBm output can use high gain antennae with up to 16 dBm gain.

Note: This example excludes losses incurred by adding antenna cable - i.e. the antenna is directly plugged into the Access Point.
